Peaches are fresh, in season and flash frozen and dried. The texture is a bit softer then the other fruits, melt in your mouth!
Light as air and packed with taste. 100% pure fruit snacks with nothing added. Unlike fresh fruit, our freeze dried fruit never rots. Great for those who work and want to provide fruit and vegetables while your are away from home, no need to worry about removing after two hours.
Each resealable mylar package is one and a half cups of freeze dried organic peaches, approximately 30-40 grams.
We select Certified Organic Produce from partners who care about your food and our environment. Our produce is delivered to our kitchen 5 times a week, prepped immediately and freeze dried.
**Note, our equipment can only produce a certain amount of product weekly. Plan your orders ahead of time, we are unable to do RUSH orders if product is not prepared. We have a schedule we stick to weekly to meet the high demand. Large bags will be available in the future.
What is freeze drying?
Freeze drying is the process of dehydrating frozen foods under a vacuum so the moisture content changes directly from a solid to a gaseous form without having to undergo the intermediate liquid state through sublimation. In this process, freeze dried food maintains its original size and shape with a minimum of cell rupture. Removing moisture prevents a product from deteriorating at room temperature.
The dried product will be the same size and shape as the original frozen material and will be found to have excellent stability and convenient reconstitution when placed in water. Freeze dried products will maintain nutrients, colour, flavour, and texture often indistinguishable from the original product.
Freeze dried foods are shelf-stable at room temperature for up to twenty-five years or more.
Freeze drying maintains 97% of the nutritional value of the food. Other methods of preservation, such as canning and dehydrating, use high temperatures that destroy much of the food value.
